Senior Planner – Water Industry

A leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure projects within the water and wastewater sector is looking for a Senior Planner to join their team.

You will be responsible for planning and managing project schedules across the full project lifecycle, from design through to construction and commissioning, working on large-scale water and wastewater engineering projects.

Duties for Senior Planner

  * Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes across the full project lifecycle

  * Ensure schedules reflect full project scope, including accurate resource and sequencing logic

  * Work closely with project teams to identify risks, opportunities, and programme impacts

  * Review and challenge supply chain programmes to ensure alignment with the integrated master schedule

  * Maintain baseline programmes in line with planning procedures and governance requirements

  * Produce clear programme updates and narrative reports for internal and client submissions

  * Carry out regular schedule quality checks to ensure accuracy, logic, and integrity

  * Support project teams with planning advice and mitigation strategies where required

Qualifications & Experience

  * Proven experience as a Project Planner or Senior Planner within the construction, engineering or water industry

  * Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6

  * Experience delivering programme planning on infrastructure, utilities, or engineering projects

  * Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle delivery
