Senior Planner – Glasgow – Up to £80,000 DOE + Car / Allowance + Excellent Bonus
First Task Professional are delighted to be working alongside a contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors throughout the UK.
Due to recent framework wins, they are gearing up to deliver 6 substation upgrades, 3 OHL diversions and 1 new build OHL route and as such are looking to build their team from the front end with both a Planner and a Senior Planner to work on these early-stage projects. They have a 5 year pipeline of projects for this individual framework alone with further awards on the horizon.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, update, and monitor detailed Primavera P6 programmes
* Mentor junior planners and support collaborative planning efforts
* Review drawings, calculate durations via material take-offs
* Integrate subcontractor schedules into master programme
* Track and report progress using narratives and dashboards
* Communicate programme details to stakeholders and manage risks
* Own and update construction programmes with CE (Compensation Events)
* Contribute to commercial entitlements under NEC contracts
Required Experience & Skills:
* HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering/Construction
* Site-based background (Section Engineer/Sub-Agent preferred)
* Proven planning experience with a main contractor (essential)
* Sector experience in energy/infrastructure (preferred)
* Proficient with P6 and MS Project; time chainage software desirable
* Strong NEC contract knowledge, especially around change management/CEs
* Power BI skills advantageous
