Job Description
Mech Tech Professionals have an opportuntiy available for an experienced Senior Planner to fulfill a permanent position based on a Chemical Manufacturing project based in Kingston Upon Hull, East Yorkshire.
Our client, one of the UK's leading engineering and maintenance providers require a competent professional to start as soon as possible or upon availability.
Overview
The Senior Planner will be responsible ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory standards. Whilst consulting and directing various functions, the Senior Planner will provide cost/expenditure transparency and will cover all parameters of planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure project schedules, resource loading, critical path analysis and progress monitoring are adopted across all projects
* Review and approve all cost/planning information required for Monthly Project Board meetings
* Set up and lead the Project Control Meetings
* Collaborate with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
* Manage and improve effective project control strategies whilst maintaining the project controls plan and associated procedures
* Liaise with project teams to identify project risks and associated control measures & opportunities
* Develop bespoke and/or generic rules of credit
* Develop structured naming conventions in P6 to be rolled out through the business
* Implement progress monitoring and productivity measurement
* Define and issue the project work breakdown structure and estimating format

Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related fields and twelve (12) years’ experience in Construction Management, and or ICostE, CEng, IEng (Essential)
* Proficiency with P6 Planning
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role in project controls (Preferred)
* PMO Experience, ERP system experience, estimating software & SAP knowledge
