Job Description
I am working with a leading main contractor that delivers large-scale, complex construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team, supporting projects across sectors including industrial, logistics, multi-room, retail, and infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to step into a senior role within a forward-thinking contractor that is recognised for its innovation, sustainability, and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
*
Develop and manage project programmes from tender stage through to completion.
*
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and advising on recovery strategies.
*
Prepare detailed tender programmes, method statements, and phasing plans.
*
Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure programme accuracy and integration.
*
Attend client and project team meetings, providing planning expertise and updates.
*
Support the company’s culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
*
Proven experience in a planning role within a main contractor environment.
*
Strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject (essential) and MS Project.
*
Experience working on large, multi-million-pound construction projects.
*
Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
*
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while also taking ownership of planning responsibilities.
