At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Electricity Transmission team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.  You’ll be working between the Nottingham office and sites across England & Wales on a hybrid basis.   Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? Are you ready to be a key part of our planning department? As a Senior Planner you’ll be part of a team responsible for producing robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of the projects. You’ll liaise with the Project/Construction Manager and Site Engineers to ensure the programme keeps abreast of any changes. Develop and optimise construction programmes, including resources, consents, outages, and wayleaves Create and maintain progress trackers for weekly reporting Collaborate with Commercial and Planning teams to embed planning culture across projects Support integration of cost systems for automated CPI/SPI reporting and robust controls Champion programme management standards and procedures Participate in project handovers and site/client meetings to ensure delivery and KPI compliance Provide planning input during tender stages Manage risk, issue, and opportunity registers in line with change management Benchmark project data to support value-for-money assessments Stay updated on planning tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement Work closely with commercial and finance teams to meet project targets and control costs Ensure programme compliance with contractual obligationsDo you have a strategic approach to planning and are passionate about business improvement?
