Senior Planning Consultant
Location: Dublin
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading, independently owned planning consultancy on the appointment of a Senior Planning Consultant to join their growing team in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a business recognised for its commercial focus and wide-ranging expertise across energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, tourism, and more.
As a Senior Planning Consultant, you'll manage your own portfolio of planning projects, support planning applications and appeals, prepare planning appraisals and development plan submissions, and undertake relevant policy and site research. You'll work closely with clients and stakeholders, contributing to a high-performing team that delivers tailored planning solutions across Ireland and the UK.
This role is based in the Dublin office, with hybrid working arrangements available to support work-life balance.
What we're looking for:
A degree or postgraduate qualification accredited by the IPI or RTPI
Minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in planning (Ireland-based)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and report writing capabilities
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for site visits)
Key skills:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent time management and planning skills
Confident problem-solving and negotiation ability
Experience managing a busy, diverse workload to deadlines
