Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead on complex development management casework and help shape the future of our communities.
In this role, you’ll:
Manage a full caseload, from pre-applications to major planning appeals.
Represent the authority at Public Inquiries and committees.
Negotiate Section 106 agreements to secure community benefits.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners.
Contribute to strategic direction and deputise for the Team Leader when needed.About You
You’ll be a proactive and skilled planner with:
A postgraduate qualification in Town Planning and RTPI membership (or eligibility).
Significant experience managing major planning applications and appeals.
A proven ability to lead negotiations on complex developments.
Strong knowledge of planning legislation and best practice.
