Job Description
Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Colchester to recruit for a Senior Practitioner in the Children in Care team within the Social Care Industry on a permanent basis paying £46,574 to £56,027 P/Annum
Responsibilities include:
Attending Court
Court Reports
Case management
LAC reviews
Conducting reviews
Adoption
Permanency
Pathway Planning
Section 20 care orders
Visit children and young people in placement, develop permanency plans which include Special Guardianship Order (SGO) and adoption
Undertake life-story work to enable a child to understand the reasons for being in care and also support children to return home to birth family. Experience preferred:
Post qualifying experience of working as a Senior Practitioner – Children in Care Team within the UK Social Care industry.
Experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members and/or carers and other multi-agency professionals. Minimum Requirements:
HCPC Registration
4 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
