Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Pricing Co-ordinator to join our client’s team in the freight industry. This role is diverse and varied, dealing with freight processes, handling pricings and quotations whilst delivering great customer service. Building relationships is key in this role and the ability to negotiate pricing. With this role being in a senior position, you must be able to lead and manage the team when the manager is away.
To be considered for the role, you must have previous pricing experience in freight industry.
Duties:
* Handling, organising and undertaking quotes and pricing ensuring the best pricing.
* Issuing quotations in single format and record on customer’s account. You will be reporting monthly on the success of quotations completed.
* Provide pricing and ad hoc rates to overseas partners, offices and customers.
* You will analyse data and volume from clients to guide the company on their decisions.
* Processing and raising invoices.
* Participating in projects that will improve processes.
* Handling freight with knowledge of all processes and documents involved.
* Liaising with all departments and build working relationships with clients, shipping agents, airlines, pricing team etc
Skills and experience:
* Strong numeracy skills
* Leadership and enthusiasm
* Able to work, lead and guide a team of people
* Minimum 5 years previous freight forwarding experience within a similar environment.
* Good negotiation skills
* Customer service
* High level of MS Excel skills and other MS office programmes.
Your hours of work would be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
