Senior/Principal Transport Planner
£35,000 - £55,000
Birmingham
We’re working with a leading UK consultancy who are building the Birmingham team. They are looking for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to help continue the success of the team.
This is a key role for an experienced transport planner who’s ready to take ownership and lead on projects and play a pivotal role in developing the team.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading on transport planning projects from feasibility through to delivery
Preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Parking Strategies, Access Strategies, and more
Managing and mentoring junior staff, helping to develop their technical and project skills
Overseeing junction modelling and TRICS assessments
Liaising directly with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
Providing expert input into S106 negotiations and technical approvals
Driving business development opportunities in the Birmingham and wider market
What we’re looking for:
A relevant degree (Master’s in Transport or related discipline desirable)
Extensive experience in UK development planning and transport policy
Proficiency in junction modelling and transport planning software
A proven track record in client management and delivering high-quality transport solutions
