Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship is required for this role
Company Bonus: Bonus of up to 21% of base salary
Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%

The Role:

We're currently looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to lead a dedicated team of professionals overseeing several critical supplier packages. These include complex systems such as Rocket Motors, Launchers, Warheads, Seeker Systems, and more. This role requires someone who can drive supplier performance and ensure project milestones are met, while also supporting the team with the tools and guidance they need to succeed.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of advanced sub-system components, services, and technologies. This includes securing cost-effective solutions, drafting and negotiating contracts, and overseeing supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.
An essential part of the role will be building strong, collaborative relationships within cross-functional teams and supplier networks. The goal is to ensure that project requirements are met through efficient and innovative supplier solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining a clear vision for your team and shaping the procurement strategy.
Offering contractual and commercial expertise, including advice on areas such as export controls, offsets, industrial participation, and intellectual property.
Interpreting and integrating diverse inputs to set strategic direction and deliver impactful outcomes.
Leading a team to ensure alignment with company goals and project objectives.
Managing key supplier relationships and conducting high-level negotiations across multiple platforms and programmes.
Providing senior-level advice on supplier risks and mitigation strategies.
What you'll bring:
Strong background in subcontract management.
Skilled negotiator with a solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
Demonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions and best practices.
Relevant qualifications in business, procurement, supply chain, or equivalent experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities within a dynamic commercial environment.
Confident working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Influential communicator, capable of handling multiple relationships and priorities.
Analytical thinker, able to assess situations and present balanced, risk-aware recommendations.
Experience leading and motivating a team.
