Job Description
An international electronic consumer goods brand is looking to recruit a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their successful and expanding NPD team. Based in London, you will benefit from a starting salary of up to £65,000, annual bonus and international travel opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team developing new electronic consumer products.
As Senior Product Design Engineer will you be responsible for:
Leading the UK NPD team to design a range of new electronic consumer products.
Mentoring junior team members.
Taking ownership of designs from conception to delivery.
Continually evaluating designs to improve cost efficiency and manufacturing improvements to increase quality and value to consumers.
Using professional and consumer insights to implement streamlined design solutions.
Leading the development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
High-volume manufacturing process.
Working with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
To be considered for the Senior Product Design Engineer, you will require:
Proven experience within Product or Mechanical Design.
Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product, Mechanical and Industrial Design Engineering.
Experience in consumer electronics or household/kitchen appliances.
Mechanical design and analysis.
Proven experience in developing plastic injection moulded components and enclosures for mass manufacture.
Experience of working on electromechanical systems and extensive experience in injection moulding.
Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally Solidworks or Creo.
