About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major 12-month scheme in Southampton. The project combines major refurbishment, multi-rise residential fit out, multi-rise demolition and remediation, and full residential refurbishment. This position is ideal for a leader with a track record of managing complex, multi-stage residential or high-rise schemes and driving successful project outcomes.

Our client is a specialist principal contractor and designer known for delivering high-quality external wall and façade packages across the UK. Their core capabilities include:

  * SFS (Steel Framing Systems)

  * Rainscreen cladding

  * Curtain walling

  * Bespoke architectural metalwork

  * Rendering and external envelope packages

With more than 15 years of sector expertise, they are a trusted delivery partner for major recladding, building safety, and façade refurbishment programmes, particularly for tier-one housing associations.

Role Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will:

  * Lead the project from pre-construction through delivery and handover

  * Manage programme, cost, safety, and quality controls

  * Coordinate multiple workstreams, including fit out, demolition, remediation, and façade elements

  * Manage subcontractors, consultants, and supply chain performance

  * Maintain strong client communication and stakeholder management

  * Ensure project milestones, budgets, and compliance targets are achieved

  * Oversee risk management, reporting, and project planning activities

Requirements

  * Strong background in multi-rise residential or refurbishment projects

  * Experience overseeing demolition, remediation, and complex phased works

  * Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

  * Proven track record delivering high-value schemes

  * Available for a long-term contract in Southampton

  * Open to freelance or PAYE engagement
