Senior Project Manager (Automation)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of everything our client is delivering:

  * Own the full project lifecycle – from sales handover to final customer acceptance

  * Engage stakeholders – understand, manage, and deliver on all technical & commercial requirements

  * Lead and inspire teams – ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and performance

  * Drive planning & execution – manage resources, schedules, and deliverables with precision

  * Communicate with impact – keep customers, teams, and directors aligned at every stage

  * Solve problems proactively – troubleshoot issues and manage risks before they escalate

  * Control budgets & contracts – manage costs, payments, and change orders effectively

  * Oversee documentation & compliance – ensuring accuracy and traceability throughout

  * Support installation & commissioning – with a strong focus on timelines and H&S

  * Mentor others – develop and support junior project professionals

What We’re Looking For

  * Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

  * Formal Project Management qualification

  * Proficiency in MS Office & MS Project

  * Excellent communication skills (written & verbal English)

  * Background in engineering/project/proposal/sales/procurement roles

  * Solid experience in the automation industry (essential)

  * Willingness to travel (approx 25% UK + occasional international)
