Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a major Tier-One main contractor and take overall ownership of the delivery of a £50m warehouse project in Manchester.
Requiring a confident and commercially astute Project Manager who can take full ownership of the programme, drive delivery and provide strong leadership across the project team, supply chain and key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within budget, whilst maintaining strong relationships with the client and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  * Take full ownership of the project programme, driving progress from pre-construction through to completion.
  * Lead and manage the project team, ensuring clear accountability and effective communication.
  * Develop, manage and continuously review the overall programme, identifying critical path activities, risks and opportunities.
  * Drive the project against key milestones, ensuring delivery remains on programme.
  * Lead coordination between design, commercial, construction and procurement teams.
  * Manage and develop relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project stakeholders.
  * Provide strong leadership to the supply chain, ensuring performance and delivery expectations are met.
  * Monitor project performance against budget, programme, quality and safety requirements.
  * Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues before they impact delivery.
  * Chair and lead project meetings, progress reviews and programme workshops.
  * Ensure appropriate reporting is provided to senior management and the client.
  * Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
  * Lead the project through to successful completion and handover.
About You
We are looking for an established Senior Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering large-scale industrial, logistics, warehouse or commercial projects for a Tier-One main contractor.
You will need to be someone who is comfortable taking ownership and accountability, rather than simply managing individual packages. You should have the leadership, commercial awareness and programme management skills to drive a complex project and bring the wider team with you.
The Person
Above all, we are looking for a leader who takes ownership.
You will be expected to take control of the programme, establish clear direction, challenge performance where required and ensure the project team remains focused on delivery. You should be commercially aware, decisive and capable of operating at a senior level with both the client and your own business.
