They are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to lead their key schemes. The Role: As a Senior Project Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple commercial fit-out projects, typically ranging up to £10 million in value. Your comprehensive expertise in managing projects from initial demolition and strip-out through to the final, high-end fit-out stages will be critical. You will be a key leader, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the most exacting quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of fit-out projects, taking full accountability from initial demolition and strip-out through to final completion and client handover. Develop, implement, and rigorously manage detailed project programmes, ensuring critical milestones are achieved across all phases. Strategically plan, supervise, and coordinate all site activities, including logistics, resource allocation, and complex sequencing of trades. Effectively manage and motivate large project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, and direct labour, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, company procedures, and client-specific safety requirements, promoting a proactive safety-first environment. Implement and enforce stringent quality control protocols, ensuring all workmanship and materials meet or exceed project specifications and client expectations. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, consultants, and all key stakeholders, ensuring clear and proactive communication. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks; resolve complex technical and logistical challenges; and manage project variations effectively. Oversee project budgets, monitor cost expenditure, and work closely with the Quantity Surveying team to ensure financial targets are met. Conduct regular site and progress meetings, providing comprehensive reports and updates to senior management and clients. Lead the comprehensive snagging, commissioning, and final handover processes, ensuring complete client satisfaction. Candidate Requirements: Extensive, demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager on commercial fit-out projects is essential. Proven expertise in managing projects from demolition and strip-out phases through to high-specification final fit-out. A strong track record of successfully delivering projects with values up to £10 million. Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage multiple teams and drive project success. Strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and robust financial management abilities. Highly organised, strategic thinker with superior problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. Thorough knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and industry best practices. Proficient in project management software and IT applications. All standard construction site certifications are required: Valid CSCS card (Manager/Professional level). Valid SMSTS certificate. Valid First Aid certificate. Desirable Certifications (Nice to have): Fire Marshal certification. PASMA certification. Must be able to commute to projects within the Cambridge region.
