Senior Proposals Engineer

With a global presence and a strong UK base in the North West, they are expanding their proposals team to strengthen bidding capability across key sectors driving the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of compelling technical and commercial proposals for large-scale energy projects.
Interpret RFQs and technical specifications to align customer needs with engineered solutions.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams throughout the bid lifecycle.
Organise site visits, supplier meetings, and subcontractor discussions to inform accurate scoping and costing.
Support and guide Sales Engineers during client engagements and tender clarifications.
Identify and manage technical and commercial risks throughout the proposal phase.
Prepare RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors; review quotations and integrate them into final bids.
Act as the primary customer contact for all proposal-related matters.
Ensure seamless handover of successful bids to project execution teams.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement within the proposals function.
Drive compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.Requirements Essential:
5+ years of experience in technical proposals or engineering sales.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
Proven track record leading complex bid development processes.
Skilled in interpreting technical documentation and negotiating commercial terms.
Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
Commercial awareness with a focus on risk and value analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.What’s on Offer
