Job Description
A global manufacturing company are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their quality department at their Essex site on a permanent basis.
The main function of the position will be to lead the pre-production quality assurance on core products lines, owning the APQP process and facilitating related DFEMA/PFMEA work.
Key tasks will include:
* Directly manage a Quality Engineer
* Process Facilitator for all DFMEAs, FMEAs and PFMEAs
* Act as the primary quality contact for all R&D work
* Ensure FMEA’s are carried out for all processes / products and are kept current and used for design capability evaluation and change control management.
* Support the other members of the Technical/Quality Team.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective action for external and internal customer concerns.
Successful applicants will need to have held a quality assurance or Quality Engineer position within complex or high volume manufacturing and have previous APQP or FEMA experience.
Ideally candidates will be HNC/A Level educated and ideally hold a formal technical or Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing qualification. Experience of quality tools such as 8D are also required. Experience in an automotive or aerospace environment would be an advantage.
The position is days based on site Monday-Friday on a 37.5 hour week with flexible start and finish times. As well as salary, the role comes with 34 days total holiday and defined pension scheme up to 9Before You Apply
