EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Alcester, that is currently in the market for a Quality Engineering Team Leader to join their company on a permanent basis.
This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

Due to internal changes and on the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Team Leader to manage a team of five Quality Engineers and has a mind for development, leadership and ambition.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing a team of Quality Engineers, creating a supportive and growth-oriented mindset
*
Driving a "zero defect" culture through operational control and continuous improvement
*
Participating in daily operations and standard diary meetings, taking ownership of quality-related issues
*
Managing customer concessions and ensuring root cause problem-solving to eliminate repeat issues
*
Implementing and managing quality documentation, including Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and SPC charts
*
Taking accountability for quality milestones within the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
As a Quality Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality across all manufacturing processes, from initial design to final production.
You will:

Have strong people management skills and a passion for mentoring
*
Support the Manufacturing Manager by participating in the Operational Control model
*
Develop robust, cost-effective inspection methodologies
*
Apply problem-solving techniques to improve operational performance and eliminate defects
*
Complete tasks related to NPI, including PFMEA, FAIRS, and PPAP
*
Work with an MRB (Material Review Board) and manage daily processing tasks
*
Participate in internal and external audits
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a quality engineering role
*
A "zero defect" mindset with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
*
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
*
Proficiency in quality methodologies and tools such as PFMEA, FAI (First Article Inspection) Reports, MRB, and concessions management
*
A strong understanding of quality documentation and control plans
