Senior Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Refurbishment
Location: Near Chingford, London
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Excellent Benefits
Start Date: ASAP (Notice Periods Respected)

A leading property services contractor, highly respected within the social housing sector, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based near Chingford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering planned refurbishment works to occupied social housing properties across London, with a strong focus on retrofit and decarbonisation initiatives aligned to government sustainability targets.
The Role:
You’ll be commercially responsible for a portfolio of refurbishment projects, working closely with operations teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards. Projects will include internal and external planned works such as kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, roofing, and energy efficiency upgrades (EWI, insulation, heating systems, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end commercial management of planned refurbishment projects
Preparation of cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Liaison with clients, subcontractors, and operational teams
Reporting and cost forecasting to ensure profitability
Supporting retrofit and decarbonisation initiatives in line with PAS2035
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
Strong background in planned social housing refurbishment is highly desirable
Solid commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
Understanding of retrofit and decarbonisation work (advantageous)
Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
