About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing groundworks & civil engineering contractor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to play a key role in delivering major Groundworks and civil projects across the South East within the residential, commercuak, highways, bridges, earthworks sectors
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee the financial and contractual management of projects from tender through to final account, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide accurate cost control, risk management, and procurement support.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of assigned civil engineering projects
*
Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
*
Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Lead procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
*
Monitor project costs and ensure financial reporting accuracy
*
Provide strategic commercial advice to project and senior management teams
*
Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives
About You
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
*
Proven experience within groundworks & civil engineering, residential, commercial, RC Frame, highways, infrastructure, or utilities preferred
*
Excellent understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management practices
*
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
*
Proactive approach with the ability to mentor junior surveyors
