Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering
London / South East
£55,000 to £90,000 + flexible benefits
Full-time | Permanent
An established and fast-growing civil engineering contractor is seeking a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a pivotal role in delivering and financially managing a variety of infrastructure and civil projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual looking to step into a senior role with autonomy, leadership potential, and long-term career development.
🔸 Responsibilities:
*
Provide full commercial support to project teams
*
Deliver accurate cost/value reporting, cash flow forecasting, and monthly CVRs
*
Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting
*
Support and mentor junior QS staff
*
Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial procedures
*
Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve variations, claims, and payments
🔸 Requirements:
Essential
*
HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) or Solid Experience
*
Previous experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
*
Strong understanding of NEC or ICE forms of contract
*
Excellent commercial acumen and cost management skills
*
Experience chairing meetings, subcontract management, and reporting
*
Strong team leadership and mentoring abilities
Desirable
*
Membership of RICS or other relevant professional body (or working towards)
