About the Role
My client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of cost management and development monitoring services on a variety of high-profile projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys working on diverse and challenging schemes across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing comprehensive development monitoring services to funders and investors, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and reported effectively.
* Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies.
* Managing procurement processes and tender analysis.
* Undertaking post-contract cost control, valuations, and final accounts.
* Preparing due diligence reports and advising on development risks and mitigation strategies.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships through consistent, high-quality delivery.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members within the cost consultancy team.
About the Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
* MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience).
* Experienced in development monitoring — ideally working with funders, banks, or investors.
* Skilled in all aspects of pre- and post-contract cost management.
* Commercially astute, with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
* Confident working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Strong communicator with proven client-facing experience.
