A reputable, privately-owned construction and development company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team, initially supporting a refurbishment project in Nottingham. The company specialises in high-quality student accommodation, residential and care/retirement living developments, and has built a reputation for safe, efficient, and innovative delivery.

Role and Key Responsibilities

Monitor actual and forecast costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering without compromising quality or safety.

Manage commercial risk and implement mitigation strategies where required.

Oversee timely agreement of final accounts with the employer and supply-chain partners.

Maintain a proactive awareness of project-specific health and safety risks; promote and reinforce safe working practices day-to-day across the project team.

Contribute to the broader commercial team, bringing cost-control expertise to support future residential, student and care sector developments across the Midlands and beyond.
