Job Description

Who We Are

We are a successful and expanding construction company working across Surrey and the South East. We specialise in high-quality extensions, renovations, and bespoke new builds. Our business is built on excellent workmanship, clear communication, and strict financial management. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to improve our commercial operations and support the business.
About the Role You will be responsible for the financial management of multiple residential projects. Your duties will cover the full project lifecycle, including cost planning, tendering, valuations, and final accounts. You will work closely with the Director and Project Managers to ensure accuracy, profitability, and consistent control over costs.

Main Responsibilities
• Create cost plans, estimates, and budgets for premium residential projects.
• Manage the tender process and analyse quotes from subcontractors.
• Negotiate terms with subcontractors and approve payment certificates.
• Manage JCT homeowner contracts (or similar), including handling variations and notices.
• Create monthly reports on costs, cash flow, and profit margins.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to add value.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the site team.
• Visit sites to check progress and value the work completed.
• Prepare and agree on final accounts.

Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in the residential construction sector is required.
• Confident with cost control, valuations, and contract administration.
• Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A clear communicator who can manage professional relationships well.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
