Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Civil Infrastructure Project
Bedfordshire
Up t0 £75,000 plus company package

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a flagship major civil infrastructure project in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key commercial role on a high-profile scheme delivering complex infrastructure works.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of large-scale civil engineering packages. Working closely with the project team, you will ensure robust cost control, risk management, and value delivery across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of major civil infrastructure works
Prepare, manage, and review budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
Administer contracts (NEC preferred), including change control and compensation events
Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account settlement
Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior stakeholders
Support and mentor junior commercial team members
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards

Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)
Experience managing large, complex packages of work
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent preferred)
