Senior Quantity Surveyor 
  
·Contract: Outside IR35 
·Location: Bristol 
·Rate: £400-£450 per day 
·Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong extension potential 
·Start: ASAP 
  
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to support a major Highways project within a fast-paced delivery environment? This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused SQS looking for a long-term contract role with strong project exposure and autonomy. 
  
The Senior Quantity Surveyor role will involve leading commercial activities across multiple project phases, ensuring strong contractual governance, cost control, and financial performance. You'll work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive project success while maintaining compliance and commercial best practice. 
Key responsibilities include: 
·Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects 
·Preparing procurement schedules and overseeing subcontract procurement 
·Evaluating tenders and administering subcontract packages 
·Managing valuations, invoicing, variations, claims, and final accounts 
·Producing accurate financial reporting and forecasting 
·Driving cost reduction initiatives and identifying commercial risks/opportunities 
·Ensuring contractual compliance and robust change control processes 
·Supporting successful project close-out and commercial handover 
  
This opportunity would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with: 
·Strong Highways project experience 
·NEC contract knowledge 
·Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting 
·The ability to work independently and lead commercial activities with minimal supervision 
·A proactive and solutions-focused approach
