Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK infrastructure and civil engineering contractor for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established main contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will act as the commercial lead on projects, ensuring commercial success while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team.

The Role

Reporting into the commercial team, your responsibilities will include:

Acting as the commercial lead on allocated projects.
	
Managing the commercial success of projects while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
	
Negotiating subcontract terms and conditions.
	
Managing specialist subcontractor and supplier payments.
	
Administering contracts in accordance with NEC3/NEC4 Option A & C.
	
Managing contract changes and assessing commercial impact.
	
Monitoring contractual obligations and project performance.
	
Carrying out site visits in line with project progress.
	
Supporting the contract close-out process, ensuring contractual obligations have been met.
	
Working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors and project delivery teams.
	
Monitoring project budgets and reporting cost variances.
	
Collating Defined Cost Records for client audit.
	
Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
	
Preparing Earned Value Analysis (EVA) reports.
	
Reviewing and validating subcontract applications and payments.
	
Preparing monthly valuations.
	
Maintaining change registers.
	
Producing the commercial elements of monthly project reports.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
	
Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
	
Experience managing the commercial delivery of infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
	
Excellent contract administration and commercial reporting experience.
	
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
	
Experience producing CVRs, valuations and commercial reports.
	
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
