Job Description

Job Overview My client is a leading regional contractor with established offices across South Wales and the South West of England. Following several significant tender wins and the securing of a long-term framework, they are looking to strengthen their expanding commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The business delivers a diverse range of projects, typically valued between £5m and £30m, across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, cladding remediation and fire protection. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account, with duties including: * Commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion. * Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control. * Subcontract procurement and management. * Managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts. * Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. * Working closely with the operational team to ensure successful project delivery. * Maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships. * Applying sound contractual knowledge, particularly JCT Design & Build. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of commercially leading projects and will have strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and subcontract procurement. In return, my client offers an excellent opportunity to join one of the region’s most respected contractors during a period of substantial growth. The role comes with an excellent salary, hybrid working, long-term project opportunities and genuine scope for further career progression. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career with a well-established and growing regional contractor
