Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Plymouth

£75,000 & Package

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial expertise, supporting the delivery of local landmark schemes around Plymouth and surrounding areas.

The day to day stuff…

  * Prepare accurate cost estimates based on consultant reports & technical information

  * Develop detailed project cost plans as designs progress

  * Produce quantities from drawings and technical documentation

  * Support the preparation of Contractor Proposals

  * Procure consultants and subcontractors

  * Prepare and submit applications for

  * Produce accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts and financial updates

  * Support project mitigation and commercial recovery strategies

  * Attend client, consultant and project meetings

  * Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team

What we need from you…..

  * Previous longevity working for a Tier 1 or large regional contractor as a Senior.

  * As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques

  * HNC / Degree in commercial management or a similar sector related course, and/or RICS Membership.

  * You should also have strong knowledge of company management systems including commercial and financial (Commercial Manager /COINS/Sphere) as well as proven experience of managing a team of assistant/quantity surveyors on a large contract.
