Overview:
A Tier 1 Main Contractor is looking to appoint a commercially strong Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee a mix of live projects and tenders across two upcoming education schemes in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a lead commercial role with a highly respected contractor, working on projects ranging from £15M to £25M in value.
Projects:
*
Hackney – DfE School Project (Completion: End of 2026)
*
Hounslow – DfE School Project (Start on Site: January 2026, 70-week programme)
Key Responsibilities:
*
Oversee and manage the commercial delivery of multiple education projects
*
Lead on tenders, procurement, and subcontractor packages
*
Provide strategic input at both pre-construction and delivery phases
*
Ensure financial targets and deadlines are met
*
Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor
*
Must have previous DfE (Department for Education) project experience
*
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
*
Ability to manage multiple projects or tenders concurrently
*
Excellent commercial acumen and leadership skills
