Senior Quantity Surveyor
📍 Glasgow (site-based, across from Queen Elizabeth University Hospital)
💷 £65,000+ per annum + car allowance + benefits
📅 Full-time | Permanent
We are working with a leading contractor on a major infrastructure project and are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their experienced commercial team. This is a high-profile role on a significant energy-from-waste development site based in Glasgow, offering the chance to be part of a complex, sustainability-focused build.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all commercial aspects of the project, reporting to the Commercial Manager.
Administer and manage contracts under NEC forms (essential).
Lead cost control, forecasting, and value engineering initiatives.
Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.
Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with project timelines and budgets.
Collaborate closely with site teams, clients, and consultants.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior QS in civil engineering, energy, utilities, or major infrastructure sectors.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential).
Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Ability to lead commercially on large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
