As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of our luxury high-end residential projects. This includes managing the entire financial lifecycle of luxury developments, from initial cost planning to final account settlements. You’ll work closely with Project and Site Managers to ensure the integrity of contracts and the successful delivery of project objectives. This role goes beyond numbers – it’s about leading with expertise, mentoring your colleagues, and fostering a culture of excellence while driving operational efficiency and maximising profitability.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (40 hours), office based. Applicants must be within a commutable distance to Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all commercial aspects of super-prime residential projects, ensuring financial controls are in place from start to finish; this includes procurement processes, sourcing and selecting subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with project and contractual compliance.
* Collaborate with Project and Site Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
* Lead cost planning, procurement, and contractual negotiations for luxury developments.
* Oversee financial reporting and final account settlements, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in high-end residential construction projects, preferably bespoke builds rather than mass-market developments.
* Proven experience working with JCT and Design & Build contracts.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
* Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
* Experience with Procore or similar project management software is beneficial.
