Job Description
Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance
Company Overview:
Our client is a reputable construction company delivering high-quality projects across the South West, from large-scale new builds to detailed renovations. Their portfolio includes apartment developments, Passivhaus housing schemes, and student accommodation. Regardless of the project size, they maintain the same commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
·Take full commercial ownership of construction projects
·Produce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
·Oversee and report on all financial aspects from pre-construction to final account
·Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth financial operation
Key Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within housing or main/regional contracting
·Relevant construction or quantity surveying qualifications (HNC, HND, BSc, etc.)
·Ability to travel to various sites across Devon when required
·Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
