Senior Quantity Surveyor – EV Infrastructure
About the Role
GPW Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading UK energy infrastructure provider to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their expanding Electric Vehicle (EV) division.
Our client is at the forefront of the UK’s clean energy transformation, delivering critical infrastructure across electricity, renewables, and electric transport. This role plays a key part in enabling the rollout of accessible, safe, and high-quality EV charging networks across the country.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of projects, supporting the planning, design, and installation teams. You will ensure financial control, contract compliance, and the successful delivery of commercially viable projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial functions on EV projects, including pricing, cost control, forecasting, and valuations
* Ensure all work complies with NEC contracts and internal commercial procedures
* Collaborate with internal teams including construction, planning, design, SHEQ, and operations
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
* Monitor subcontractor performance and manage agreements throughout project delivery
* Contribute to a sustainable and well-managed project pipeline in line with SLAs
* Prepare commercial reports, budgets, and support risk mitigation activities
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
* Background in civils, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle
* Experienced in subcontractor management and commercial reporting
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and best practices in health and safety
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and time management skills
