Hays are delighted to be working with our client with an outstanding reputation in the construction industry. This company specialises in the construction of a variety of commercial new-build projects. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in the West Midlands who has a wealth of tier-1 experience in commercial build projects.
Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the success of projects by leading the commercial aspects and ensuring their seamless execution. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Strategy: Managing the project's commercial team and taking accountability for all pre- and post-contract strategies, commercial functions, and contract reporting.
Value Creation: Partnering with clients and industry leaders to enhance value, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote best practices, all while ensuring commercial success.
Financial Oversight: Ensure project cash-flow by preparing precise final accounts for main and subcontract agreements.
Key Deliverables:
Handle measurements, variations, contractual notices, and change valuations.
Manage procurement planning, subcontractor agreements, and supply chains.
Prepare and deliver monthly cost reports, project progress, and tender strategies for stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed:
Previous roles as a Senior QS is essential.
Experience delivering new-build commercial projects with a value of up to £50m.
Must have a tier-1 background.
Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
Appetite to go above and beyond in your role.
