Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Rail Systems | £60k–£75k + Bonus + Car | East London
Work on a £200m+ flagship rail infrastructure project in East London, supporting delivery of complex rail systems packages across signalling, OLE, comms, and associated fit out. 2+ years of secured work, and a growing, high-performing commercial team to join.
Package:
£60,000 – £75,000 base salary
15% annual bonus
£6,000 car allowance or access to EV company car scheme
Full Tier 1 contractor benefits from day one – enhanced leave, private medical, CPD, pension, and more
The Role:
Take commercial lead on one or more complex rail systems subcontract packages
Administer NEC contracts (primarily Options A & C)
Manage change control both upstream (client) and downstream (subcontractor)
Cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, subcontractor procurement, and final account resolution
Interface with systems delivery and engineering teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
Support collaborative delivery of key programme milestones
Ideal Candidate:
Strong NEC contract experience – Options A & C
Background in rail systems (signalling, OLE, comms, SCADA, etc.)
Experience managing technical subcontractor packages
Confident handling change control and driving value throughout the delivery lifecycle
Stable CV with long-term project involvement preferred
MRICS/MCICES chartership or working towards
