As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing project cost control, shaping commercial strategy, and mentoring junior team members. This position is ideal for a commercially astute and experienced professional seeking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee full financial management of projects to ensure commercial targets are met.
* Lead subcontractor procurement, management of packages, and payments.
* Prepare and maintain monthly valuations, variation submissions, and cost reports.
* Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure cost efficiency and accurate forecasting.
* Support in contract administration, negotiation, and compliance.
* Monitor budgets and cash flow, ensuring timely reporting to senior management.
* Drive improvements in reporting systems and commercial practices.
* Mentor junior members of the Quantity Surveying team, helping to build a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
* Minimum of five years’ post-graduate experience, preferably within a main contracting environment.
* Strong knowledge of PWC and RIAI forms of contract.
* Proficient in Cubit and Microsoft Excel.
* Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractor accounts and handle complex variations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
