Job Description
Our client is one of the UK's leading privately owned infrastructure specialists and Main Contractors, delivering projects and frameworks across the UK.
As a key member of the team reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will liaise with the client commercial team and representatives, subcontractors and other third parties on commercial issues including the agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments.
As an ideal candidate, you will be from a civil engineering background with water industry experience and experience within a self-delivery environment.
Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Provision of accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
Provision of accurate cash flow reporting, cost management and project forecasting.
Drafting and updating a monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
Responsibility for subcontract procurement, negotiation and financial accounting.
Preparation of project applications for payment to final account settlement.
Effectively manage contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC formsFreelance Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:
HND or degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
Previous experience in the construction industry, working on infrastructure and water projects.
Experience working within a self-delivery environment.
Familiarity with IChemE/ NEC forms of contract and knowledge and understanding of Construction Law.
Previous experience of subcontractor procurement and management.
Demonstrable experience of monthly forecasting and cost analysis.
Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft OfficeFreelance Senior Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
