Job Summary
Our client is a leading specialist finishes contractor with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. They operate across Rail, Commercial, Residential, and Aviation sectors, delivering high-quality flooring, walls, tiling, and minor building works nationwide.
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team and take charge of fast-paced and diverse projects ranging from £100k to £4m. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious QS to contribute to continued success.
Your Role:
* Manage multiple projects from contract award to completion alongside the Project Manager.
* Oversee financial and commercial targets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
* Prepare monthly cost reports and assist with cost-value reconciliations.
* Present and agree external valuations with clients.
* Assist in the procurement of materials and manage payments.
* Attend pre-start meetings and ensure contractual compliance.
* Provide regular project reviews and site visits to monitor progress.
* Maintain accurate records of contract changes, delays, and cost variations.
* Advise senior management on delays, extensions, and expenses, issuing relevant notices.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in construction cost management.
Strong knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 (Option A) and JCT Design & Build.
Ability to cost variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Strong team player with the ability to adapt in a dynamic site environmentBefore You Apply
