£65,000 – £75,000 Pro Rata + Package
Permanent | Flexible / Part-Time Opportunity | Residential Developer
Hill McGlynn is proud to be working in partnership with a growing, design-led residential developer based in Sittingbourne, Kent, who are looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial operations on a part-time basis.
This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, quality-driven team, offering genuine flexibility on working hours and days, ideal for someone seeking a reduced or adaptable schedule while remaining in a senior, commercially focused role.
The Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the full commercial lifecycle of residential development projects, from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll work closely with the directors and project teams to ensure developments are delivered within budget, and in line with financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
* Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and valuations
* Monitoring project costs, variations, and cash flow
* Liaising with site teams and external consultants
* Providing regular commercial reports to senior management
* Supporting strategic decisions with accurate financial input
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential development
* Comfortable working in a small team and managing multiple project responsibilities
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT preferred)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Flexible mindset – open to part-time hours and adaptable working arrangements
* Proficient in relevant software and reporting tools
