An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major infrastructure and road scheme in Leiston, Suffolk. This is a key role within a dynamic project team, offering the chance to be part of a long-term, high-value scheme with excellent career prospects.
🔍 Role Overview:
As Senior QS, you’ll take full commercial responsibility for the project, managing everything from subcontract procurement to cost reporting and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee commercial aspects of a major civil engineering project
*
Prepare and manage applications for payment, valuations, variations, and change control
*
Subcontractor procurement and management
*
Budget tracking, cost forecasting, and reporting
*
Contract administration (ideally under NEC forms)
*
Support project delivery teams to ensure profitability and compliance
✅ What You'll Need:
*
Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
*
Proven experience in a civil engineering environment – ideally on infrastructure or road schemes
*
Strong understanding of NEC contracts
*
Excellent negotiation and cost control skills
*
Must live within 1 – 1.25 hours of Leiston, Suffolk
*
Full UK driving licence
