About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and respected civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Kent and the South East. This is a key commercial role, offering the chance to lead from the front on a variety of complex projects including highways, drainage, structures, and public realm works.
You'll be joining a collaborative and technically skilled team, with real autonomy to manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial management of multiple live projects
*
Manage subcontract procurement, payments, and valuations
*
Ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and budget management
*
Prepare and negotiate final accounts
*
Liaise with operational teams, clients, and external stakeholders
*
Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team
*
Ensure compliance with contract conditions and commercial procedures
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
*
Strong working knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract
*
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
*
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
*
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
*
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across Kent and the South East
