Senior / Managing Quantity Surveyor - Water Utilities Sector
Location: Warrington (regular travel or office-based)
Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 + package
I'm currently working with a leading main contractor in the water utilities sector who are seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. This is a key role focused on pre-construction activities, providing commercial leadership through the early stages of projects and frameworks.
The Role:
Lead the pre-construction commercial function, including contract negotiations, risk reviews, and commercial strategy.
Review and negotiate contracts to safeguard the business's commercial position.
Support the bid and tendering process, working closely with operational and business development teams.
Provide expert advice on NEC and bespoke client contracts.
Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and partners to ensure clarity of terms and successful contract execution.
About You:
Experienced Quantity Surveyor with senior/management-level capability.
Strong background in pre-construction, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management.
Exposure to water utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
Proficient in NEC contracts with a proven track record of managing contract terms effectively.
Strong communicator able to influence at all levels.
Location & Travel:
This role can be based in Warrington or carried out with regular travel to Warrington. Flexibility can be considered, but a strong presence with the pre-construction team is essential.
