Senior Quantity Surveyor – Leeds

Due to continued growth and recent project wins, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic commercial team delivering a multi-year, multi-million-pound framework in Leeds.
Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and financial aspects of complex infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively within an alliance of stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery, contractual compliance, and optimal performance. This is a key leadership role contributing to the financial success and operational efficiency of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost control, and cash flow to maximise contract value and profitability.
Lead contract administration including variations, claims, reporting, and final accounts.
Produce and assure timely and accurate monthly commercial reports, CVRs, and performance analysis.
Collaborate with project and commercial teams to ensure effective budget controls and risk management.
Engage with alliance partners, clients, auditors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships.
Oversee procurement processes, ensuring best value and compliance with commercial procedures.
Support work-winning initiatives and contribute lessons learned to improve future bids.
Line support and mentor junior commercial staff to build team capability and performance.
Ensure commercial processes and contractual obligations are fulfilled and records maintained.
Monitor supply chain performance and liaise with internal teams to identify RDEC opportunities.
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
Substantial experience in a senior commercial role, preferably within infrastructure or civil engineering albeit not essential
Strong knowledge of various contract types and forms
Proven ability in negotiation, cost control, and performance reporting.
Excellent communication, influencing, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
