Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead the negotiation, appointment, and full lifecycle oversight of sub-contractor packages—from initial engagement through to final account settlement
* Act as the primary commercial contact for clients, handling valuations, variations, and ensuring financial transparency across all schemes
* Produce accurate monthly cost reports aligned with project budgets, proactively identifying and addressing any cost-related issues
* Foster strong working relationships with Contracts Managers and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery and high-quality outcomes
* Support junior staff by mentoring, monitoring progress, and guiding their development within project environments
* Uphold company policies and procedures under the Integrated Management System (IMS), while remaining adaptable to undertake additional duties as required
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with strong tendering and estimating skills
* Strong background within building, construction or similar industries
* Previous contract management and/or negotiation experience
* Working knowledge of construction contracts
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to liaise with key clients
* Team leadership or management experience preferred but not essential
* Willingness to be on-site and travel where required with a full UK driving licence
