Job Description
A Civil Engineering Contractor are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to cover their Western region based in both Southampton and Weston-super-Mere to work on projects from Pier restoration, climate adaptation to infrastructure projects. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have fantastic career development to Regional MQS.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £75,000

Manage the Cost Value Reconciliation process within the business
Establish and maintain the Operations/Commercial partnership required
Monitor manage risk & associated budgets
Monitor performance standards & quality
Procure subcontractors at lower than Tender sums whenever possible. Seek to negotiate the best price for the company
Build strong relationships with clients & their representatives
Discuss and develop procurement strategy with team members & in accordance with the contract programme. Monitor & update as necessary
Submit timely applications for payments to ensure cash can be collected
Manage subcontractors effectively & in accordance with their terms & conditions
Ensure project cost forecasts are updated accurately, in a timely manner Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a Heavy Civil Engineering Environment
A working understanding NEC3,4, ECC, ICE & JCT types of contracts
Understanding of Tendering & Procurement processes
Experience of Tidal projects would be highly advantageous
QHSE legislation
Experience of Dispute resolution
Understanding of CVR's & financial reports
Full driving licence and CSCS Card
