Senior Quantity Surveyor – Fit-Out Main Contractor
Location: Soho, Central London
Salary: Competitive + Package
Company Turnover: £200m+
Project Value: £30m
We are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading Fit-Out Main Contractor with a turnover of over £200 million. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable contractor on a flagship £30 million commercial fit-out scheme in the heart of Soho.
As the lead Surveyor on this project, you will play a pivotal role in managing all commercial aspects from procurement through to final account, working closely with the operations team and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
*
Take full commercial ownership of a £30m CAT A & CAT B fit-out scheme.
*
Lead procurement of subcontractor packages and manage supplier negotiations.
*
Cost planning, forecasting, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Prepare and present monthly CVRs, cashflows, and financial reports.
*
Manage and mentor Assistant/Intermediate Surveyors within the team.
*
Maintain strong client and consultant relationships, ensuring commercial best practice is upheld.
*
Oversee subcontractor account management, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Requirements:
*
7–10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in fit-out and refurbishment.
*
Experience delivering projects £10m+ as the lead Surveyor.
*
Strong contractual knowledge (JCT).
*
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
*
Ability to work autonomously, reporting directly to a Commercial Director.
*
Degree qualified (Quantity Surveying or similar) preferred.
