Job Description
Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Highways & Civil Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in earthworks, drainage, and road construction to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile projects across the highways and civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial aspects of civil engineering projects, with a focus on highways, earthworks, and drainage.
Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations and variations.
Ensure accurate cost forecasting, budget control, and risk management.
Support site teams with contractual and commercial guidance.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a QS or Senior QS within the civil engineering sector.
Strong working knowledge of earthworks, drainage, highways, and road construction.
Excellent contractual knowledge (NEC/JCT).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
