Senior Quantity Surveyor
Ashford, Kent | Commercial D&B | October 2025
This is a well-established main contractor based in Ashford, delivering a diverse mix of commercial and residential projects across Kent and South East London typically up to £5m in value.
They're now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the company's commercial function managing all day-to-day surveying duties, cost reporting, and subcontract accounts while working closely with the estimating team.
This is a great opportunity for someone confident working independently, who wants genuine responsibility and long-term stability within a growing regional contractor.
The Role
• Take full commercial ownership of multiple live projects (up to £5m)
• Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, and valuations
• Prepare cost reports, CVRs, and forecasts for senior management
• Oversee cash flow, variations, and final accounts
• Work closely with the estimator and directors to improve commercial processes
• Office-based in Ashford with regular site visits across Kent and South East London
What they're looking for
• 815 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS
• Strong background in main contracting (commercial, industrial, or resi projects welcome)
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Based within commutable distance of Ashford
